Blatella germanica


These insects have started to appear here due to an usually warm winter. They have been on the surface of this planet for 200'000'000 years and can survive under radioactivity, so they should continue to prosper and live well. It doesn't seem to be easy to get rid of them once they start to invade homes' interiors. There are a lot of interesting infos at the Insectarium of Montréal:
They are of course a health hazard and thorough cleaning is the first step to take.
